Terms & Conditions

DELIVERY OF GOODS

  • Goods will be dispatched by Royal Mail Recorded Delivery or Special Delivery - our standard delivery service.
  • Delivery is free, but if you require express delivery by courier, this can be arranged - at extra cost. Please contact us if you require this service.
  • Please check the goods upon delivery - if you notice that the goods are damaged in any way, please contact us immediately to arrange their return.
  • If you have ordered more than one item, please check that you have received all the items detailed in the delivery invoice accompanying your order. If there is any discrepancy, please contact us immediately.
  • We will endeavour to send your goods to you as quickly as possible. If there is delay, we will contact you to advise you of this. However we will not be liable for any charges you may incur if the goods are delayed.
  • Once you have received delivery of the goods, we will assume that they have been received in an undamaged condition, unless we hear from you otherwise and responsibility for any damage which occurs thereafter rests with you.
  • If you do not receive you goods within 21 days, please contact us.

PAYMENT DETAILS

  • Card payments are taken via a secure online service provided by Barclaycard Business.
  • All transactions are transmitted over the internet in an encrypted form using the Secure Socket Layer Protocol (SSL) with a minimum length of 128 bits, offering one of the highest level of encryption or security possible.
  • This means that you can be rest assured that communications between your browser and this site's web servers are private and secure making it virtually impossible for your card or personal details to be used by unauthorised persons.
  • Payment must be made in full before goods are dispatched.
  • We accept card payments by Visa/Mastercard/Switch/Maestro/ Solo
  • We also accept payment by sterling cheques drawn on a UK clearing bank. However when payment is made by cheque, goods will not be dispatched until the cheque has cleared.
  • We regret that we are unable to accept payment by euros or cheques drawn on non-UK banks at this time.

WARRANTY

  • Our products are covered by a 12-month manufacturers warranty, from the date of purchase.
  • Scratches or damage to lenses are excluded from the warranty.
  • If you need to return a product to us, please contact us before doing so. Once we have received the goods from you, we will send it on to the manufacturer and will contact you as soon as we have had a reply from the manufacturer.

RETURN OF GOODS

  • We aim to offer the kind of service which makes you glad you chose to shop with us.
  • However, under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 you have the right to change your mind and cancel an order. The regulations state that this "Right to Cancel" or "Cooling Off" period runs from 7 working days from when you receive the goods.
  • At Oracle Eye Centre, we would like you to be completely satisfied with the goods you have received from us and have therefore extended this period to 14 working days from when you receive the goods.
  • We ask that you note that the regulations do not apply to any goods made to your personal specifications or personalised for you, for example prescription lenses. In such cases we will refund the value of the frame or goggle, minus the cost of the prescription lenses.
  • If for any reason you are not happy with your purchase, please return it to us, within 14 days, in its unused condition, together with all original packaging and papers for a full refund or exchange.
  • Products must be returned in the same condition in which you received them - with all tags attached and original packaging and documents. Any damage to the product or loss of documents or packaging may affect the amount of refund given.
  • We recommend that you obtain a "Proof of Posting" certificate from the Post Office or send the goods by Recorded Delivery, as we are unable to accept responsibility for any items lost in transit. Similarly, please ensure that any returned items are securely packaged as we are not liable for items damaged in transit.

PRESCRIPTION EYEWEAR

  • The prescription that you supply to us must have been given to you by a qualified optician or registered ophthalmic medical practitioner following an eye test performed by him/her within the last 2 years.
  • Please take care when supplying us with your prescription and IPD (Interpupillary Distance) as we will not be responsible for any mistakes which you make when entering your prescription or IPD.
  • If you are unsure of any details regarding your prescription, please contact us as we will be happy to give you further advice.
  • If you would like us to use an average IPD measurement when making your prescription lenses, we are not liable for any problems which may arise as a result.
  • You must confirm that you are aged 18 years or over and are not registered blind or partially sighted to purchase prescription eyewear - as specified by the Opticians Act.

PRICES

  • All prices displayed on the site are fully inclusive of VAT, postage and packaging.
  • We constantly check our prices against other sites to ensure that we provide good value for money on our products.
  • Once your order has been accepted and payment made in full, the price applicable to that order will not change. However, if we reduce the price of the product you purchased within 28 days of the date of your purchase, we will refund the difference.
